High-Integrity
African Carbon
Credits
iRise Carbon delivers verified reforestation and clean cooking credits from Malawi — community-rooted, independently verified, and aligned with the highest market standards.
Selected for the CEEZER Carbon Accelerator. Recognised at COP27, COP28 and COP29. Purpose-built for corporate net-zero commitments and Article 6 compliance.
Credits Built for
Market Integrity
In a market where scrutiny of carbon credit quality has never been higher, iRise Carbon was architected from the ground up for defensibility.
Independently Verified
All credits are third-party verified under Verra's VCS programme using the VM0047 methodology — the gold standard for Afforestation and Reforestation projects. Clean cooking credits carry Gold Standard certification.
Community-Custodian Model
Our trees are planted and cared for by community members who are paid per tree that survives — not per tree planted. This incentive structure delivers survival rates significantly above the industry average.
Full Additionality
All projects operate in areas of documented high deforestation pressure. Without iRise Carbon's intervention and ongoing community payments, the land would not and could not sustain tree growth.
Award-Winning Programme
Named Best Forestry Initiative at COP28 Dubai, a UNFCCC Lighthouse Project at COP27, and selected for the CEEZER Carbon Accelerator — one of only 10 companies globally in 2025.
Co-Benefits & SDGs
Projects generate measurable SDG outcomes — improved livelihoods (SDG 1, 10), biodiversity restoration (SDG 15), climate action (SDG 13), and gender equity through stove distribution (SDG 5).
Article 6 Ready
With government of Malawi as active project partners, iRise Carbon is positioned to issue Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs) as Article 6 implementation frameworks mature.
The CEEZER Accelerator Selection
In 2025, iRise Carbon was selected for the CEEZER Carbon Accelerator — the most competitive carbon project programme in Europe, accepting just 10 developers globally. Selection is based on credit quality, methodology rigour, and commercial scalability.
Two Verified
Carbon Credit Types
Whether your net-zero strategy prioritises carbon removal or emission reduction, iRise Carbon offers independently verified credits that meet the demands of corporate buyers, CORSIA compliance, and voluntary markets.

Afforestation & Reforestation Credits
Generated through large-scale native species planting programmes across Kasungu and Namwera districts in Malawi. Each tonne of CO₂ removed is independently measured, monitored, and verified under the industry's most rigorous A/R methodology.
Clean Cooking Credits
Generated by distributing locally manufactured, high-efficiency cookstoves to households in Malawi — replacing open-fire cooking that drives deforestation and indoor air pollution. Each credit is certified by Gold Standard with full social impact reporting.
Where Your Credits
Come From
Every credit we sell is traceable to a specific project, community, and verified planting or cookstove record. No offsets from ambiguous landscapes — just auditable, community-embedded climate action.
